Welcome to Staru, a freelancing platform designed for journalists, bloggers, podcasters, and musicians. By using Staru, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
2. User Accounts
- It is free to create a user account on Staru.
- Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
3. Publishing and Viewing Content
- Users can create and publish blog articles and podcasts.
- A fixed fee is charged for every article or audio published on the platform.
- Users can set their own price for their content.
- Users earn 100% profit from views on the platform, excluding deductions by third-party payment processors.
4. Staru Coin and Transactions
- Staru uses a virtual currency called Staru Coin.
- Users must have a PayPal account to purchase Staru Coins.
- To publish content, users must use Staru Coins, unless the content is marked as free.
- To view paid content, users must use Staru Coins.
- Transactions are made via PayPal, which deducts a percentage from purchases and payouts.
- No other deductions are made outside of PayPal transaction fees.
5. Wallet and Transaction History
- Each user is provided with a digital wallet, initially set to 0.00 Staru Coins.
- The wallet displays balance and transaction history, including purchases, payouts, charges for publishing, and charges for viewing.
- Users receive email notifications for all transaction activities.
6. Podcast and Music Content
- Staru allows musicians to publish and sell their music in the podcast section.
- Users can purchase and listen to music through the platform.
7. Plagiarism Policy
Staru strictly prohibits plagiarism. Users are solely responsible for their content and any legal consequences that may arise. The platform will not be held liable for user violations.
7.1 Blog Writers
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
1. Word-for-word plagiarism: Copying content without permission or proper credit.
2. Paraphrasing plagiarism: Rewording content without proper citation.
3. Idea plagiarism: Using someone else's concepts without credit.
4. Image/media plagiarism: Using media without permission or attribution.
7.2 Podcasters
Plagiarism includes:
1. Audio clip plagiarism: Using audio from other sources without permission.
2. Idea/concept plagiarism: Using another creator’s ideas without credit.
3. Script plagiarism: Copying scripts without permission or credit.
4. Interview plagiarism: Using someone else's interview content without citation.
7.3 Music Artists
Plagiarism includes:
1. Melodic plagiarism: Copying a melody without permission.
2. Lyrical plagiarism: Using lyrics from another song without proper credit.
3. Sampling without clearance: Using samples without obtaining legal permission.
4. Style or genre plagiarism: Imitating another artist's style without originality.
8. User Accountability
- Users are responsible for ensuring their content does not violate copyright or intellectual property laws.
- If a user is found to have plagiarized content, they may face penalties, including content removal, account suspension, or legal action.
- Staru will cooperate with copyright holders and legal authorities as required.
